There has not been a grassroots mobilization in years among the citizens as their was for the election of 2008. Greening the Excelsior through Art and Music. Every year the Excelsior Action Group presents a free, family-friendly art and music festival. The festival is inspired by an interest in building civic pride and showcasing all that the Excelsior community has to offer. Moreover, this festival is made special by the compassionate efforts of volunteers that are organized by EAG. The 2014 festival takes place on Sunday, September 28th from 11am - 4pm.
